"We celebrated my daughter‘s wedding this last weekend. We all had such an amazing time and we were complimented all evening long on how beautiful the venue was. Even without the table decor the barn is absolutely gorgeous with its woodwork amazing chandelier, and the industrial fan. After putting on the linens and centerpieces, the ambience was perfect. Everyone was so helpful. The grandkids helped us check all of the batteries in the candles to make sure they were all in working order. We were constantly checked on and made sure that we didn’t need anything else and if we did, they were quick to get it for us.
I appreciate that we were allowed to have our own catering and to provide our own drinks. That was helpful in keeping on budget.
The girls had so much fun getting ready in the bridal suite. Everything was thought out perfectly. We had a mini fridge for our drinks. There were a couple of stations for our hairstylists to come in and work at. A lot of mirrors for the girls. The bedroom was nice size. Although we didn’t use it, there was a shower available if needed along with toiletries and linens. There was ample seating for everyone, which was very helpful.
The boys enjoyed the groom’s quarters as well
Having an outdoor wedding in March could have been very stressful. However, the Marshalls helped us with a last-minute pivot. We had the windiest day of the season, but didn’t realize just how bad it was until an hour before the ceremony. Mind you all of the pews and shepherd hooks with lanterns had already been set up outside. About 45 minutes before the ceremony we had to move everything inside. The tables were already set up, but we were able to move enough pews indoor so that we could hold the nuptials inside. Everything turned out perfect!
Even with the wind, the happy couple were able to get some great photos out in the hay fields and on the dirt road. Another thing, HCB was accommodating to was my daughter‘s request for a mechanical bull riding event. There was open grass in front of the barn that we were able to utilize for this. Even the playground got a lot of use out of the kids that had come to the ceremony.
As the mom of the bride, I appreciated the option of having the owners cleanup for a small fee.
We highly recommend the heartland country barn to anyone and everyone looking for an amazing and affordable venue!"
